When you treat yourself during struggles it helps to cheer you up. Often it happens that during struggles or hard times we feel low, tired and alone. Every single day is just like a battle.

These all circumstances overtime make us negative. To get rid of such negative emotions and stay positive you must treat yourself often with small perks that make you feel good.

A negative state of mind is a hurdle to success. Because it doesn’t let us focus on things that can help us move forward. On the contrary, a positive state of mind keeps you calm and gives strength to fight back the setbacks.

Treating yourself is doing things that make you feel good about yourself. It doesn’t have to be something extraordinary. You can do that in simple but effective ways.

Here are 3 ways I treated myself. These simple techniques not only cheered me but also inspired me to start with more enthusiasm.

Food Treat

Food plays a great role in cheering up. At the end of a hard day at work, a small bar of chocolate, your favorite juice, a meal at your favorite resto or just a cup of coffee makes a big difference.

You get a complete mood swing. Your mind loves treats. It is just like thanking yourself for the hard work that you did. It gives strength to do it again and with more enthusiasm. If you have someone to share then the joy is doubled. But if not, your company is the best.

This has helped me a lot. When I returned from the Middle East, during my initial days when I was trying to set up my new business, I often used to treat myself with food.

And still, I do with my friends and clients when they need this. Try it and let me know.

Emotional Treat

What is this emotional treat? It is giving yourself an emotional makeover. Some acts that you do when you are feeling low can just pump you up. Appreciating and encouraging self-talks are the best ones.

If you are surrounded by positive people who appreciate and encourage you then it’s great. But if not, then doing it by self is the perfect option.

Emotional treat also includes some time with friends or lying calmly on your partner’s shoulder. Having sex is also a perfect mood swinger. It just opens up your senses again for the next phase. Those who are unmarried know what to do as you people are smart enough.

Couples should emotionally treat their partners when they are feeling low. You will be amazed to see the love bond as well as the effect it has on their moods.

Break Treat

Sometimes things don’t go well and doing efforts over and over again makes the body and mind tired. We are unable to do things with a perfect josh. Taking a day off from your job or business settles things up the mind.

Going in the laps of nature is the best that I love. It can also be going to your favorite Game zone, watching your favorite movie, or visiting your lovely aunt.

If you don’t have time and money to do all this, staying home, waking up late, chilling all day in your pajamas watching TV or enjoying movies or games is all the same.

These things are simple and easy to do but make a huge difference. When I was a 14-year-old kid, I heard one of my uncles often saying this and I loved his words.

He used to say, “Treating myself inspires me a lot and it always pushes me to do more. My family benefits from what I do for myself as they are also a part of me.” What a wonderful life mantra.

Sometimes we forget ourselves in the hassle of life. Give small treats as you deserve it. Life will be much better and negativity will not affect you.
